Reiterpfad Ruppertsberg Beerenauslese
Seldom has a year been more perfectly suited to a noble sweet collection and we were able to harvest two Riesling Beerenauslese wines from top sites. The physiological ripeness is unbelievable and the Botrytis concentrated the wine in such a clear way that veritable treasures were created, which will give pleasure to generations to come – Ad multos annos!!!
WINE
You could call the Reiterpfad Beerenauslese the fraternal twin of the Ungeheuer. Similarly, this Beerenauslese casts its spell over you. Plays carefreely with all the strengths peculiar to the wine and dances again in the fraction of second like a ballerina. What a happy feeling it is when you feel all your senses captured by an almost perfect wine. It is hard to imagine, how many people will still experience this happiness, as they enjoy this wine.

YIELD
Not quantifiable due to the number of selections that took place in the Reiterpfad site:

FINISHING
Long maceration time on the mash, to give even the slightest chance of liquid flowing off on pressing. Sharp clarification and pre-filtration, carefully monitored conditions during fermentation that lasted over 6 weeks. Racking and filtration before preparation for filling in May. Filling end of June 2008.
CAN BE STORED
Up to at least 2075 – a great wine here and today is a 1921 Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese from the Reichsrat von Buhl estate.
