La Chamiza continue their winning streak, receiving Gold and Silver medals from this year’s IWC panel and now shortlisted as one of their potential trophy winners.  The same week, the winery made a star appearance on “Celebrity Come Dine With Me.  Six million viewers watched Michael Barrymore serve Polo Amateur Torrontes and Polo Professional Malbec to his three celebrity guests in a rather distinguished dinner party, assisted by Louise Gordon from the Westbury Hotel.

Ben Rea from Office Licence News, was  enjoying the festivities laid on when he received a call from his expectant wife… she was just going in to labour 120 miles away in Brighton!

Nicky was on hand to capture the moment when emotions were running high and the logistics of getting a passenger off the boat were being planned. Nicky’s video below shows the raw emotion of an expectant daddy!…

Committed as always to “living the brand”, Nicky participated in a demonstration training session at Beaufort Polo Club this week and the photos attached are the embarrassing documentation of that morning!  Together with representatives from Horse Magazine and Bath Life, Nicky spent a fascinating 2 hours learning the rudiments of how to play the fast and skilled game of polo. Their patient tutors, Caspar and the legendary Claire Tomlinson, showed the ladies how to balance, ride and hit at the same time (or tried!), and explained the basic rules of the game.

La Chamiza will be present at a number of polo events this year, for details of where and when to see join us to watch this exhilarating sport contact us today!
