We have a lot to be proud about at Silverado Vineyards. 2011 may have been a challenging year for us all but we continued to make wines that people enjoy. Here are some of our greatest hits from 2011 for your review.

“Bold aromas of blackcurrant leaf, plum, black cherry and kirsch. Smooth, elegant and very sleek, with a very fine texture and silky tannins. It has pure fruit and is made to impress. A bit of a bruiser but has zest and freshness.”

Decanter Awards for Silverado and Von Buhl

Congratulations to Reichsrat Von Buhl who won bronze for their 2009 Forster Kirchenstuck Riesling Gross Gewachs and Silverado Vineyards who scooped a prestigous pair of bronze and gold for their Solo Cabernet Sauvignon and Estate Cabernet Sauvignons respectively, both 2008 vintage. Well done again!

Mr Robert Parker awarded the 2007 Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon 92 Points recently and described it as “a gorgeous example of elegance allied to power”. This times nicely with our release of limited edition magnums, which will be available exclusively to World Wine Agencies’ customers from this month onwards.

The panel were delighted by the “Quality tannins, freshness and balance were the buzzwords from our experts, wowed by the elegance- if not the price- of these age-worthy wines”
World Wines Silverado Vineyards, Napa Valley received a high recommendation of 4 stars.
