Jamie Goode picks out Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon
Wednesday, 4 May, 2011 by NickyB
Many thanks to Jamie Goode, highlighted Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 on his website as one of his best examples of “very drinkable Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons” that were “finished, and not just tasted”!
Silverado Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 Napa Valley, California
14.9% alcohol. Rich blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with some spicy, grippy tannins. Grippy with good balance between the ripe fruit and tarry, tannic structure. It carries the alcohol really well: a satisfying wine. 91/100

A big thank you to Wine & Spirit Education Trust…
Friday, 15 October, 2010 by NickyB
As a result of the Von Buhl Gross Gewach tasting that WWA organised in September, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust will be using the Estate’s wines in their training courses. This is the first time ever that the WSET has used wine from a different region of Germany other than Mosel, so now thanks to David Hunter who championed the idea within the WSET, the wines from the Pfalz will be showcased to hundreds more people learning about wine. Very many thanks to David and the WSET for their support.
